    1. It’s a highly non-ironic coin minted by Brutus to pay for his army during the civil war after Caesar’s death. The daggers are self-explanatory; the thing between them is a type of hat put on by slaves when they were freed; the legend is Eid. Mar., ‘Ides of March’.
